How do you disassemble a recliner sofa?

Most models come with removable bolts that allow disasembly at two or three major braces. Normally these can be found underneath the sofa.

You really can not dismantle the sofa. You will be able to remove the mattress and that will significantly reduce the weight of the sofa. They don't come apart, sorry.

You should start with removing all the detachable pillows and cushions. Then start with taking the extension piece off. You are going to need to remove all the of the screws, nuts and bolts to disassemble the recliner piece. Then you need to fold the sofa into a compact position so that you can carry it.

There should be a place in the back of the recliner that you can go in the back and unscrew it so you can take it apart and get it upstairs.
