Dissolve:
¾ ounce yeast in ¼ cup warm water
warm ½quart milk
add 3c flour to yeast and warm milk, let rise for ½hour.
combine:
½ quart warm milk
¼ lb. Butter
2 tablespoons shortening
½cup sugar
2tablespoons whiskey
Mix with 6 eggs, pinch of salt, 9 cups flour and mix.
Rise until doubled, form 2oz balls.
Rise for about ½ hour.
Fry balls in 350F oil.
