You must first know what the volts are used in the circuit. Then take the watts and divide them by the volts, giving the amps.

12 watts is equal to 1 amp. So if you want to convert to amps then you just divide by 12.

Well to calculate amps from watts you need to know the watts and the volts. Then simply divide the watts by the volts and you will get the amps. For instance if there is 14watts and 2 volts there will be 7 amps.
