hook the cassette player up to your computer throught its line in, download any recording software (most of which is free of charge online) set it to record from the line in, press play on your cassette player. Once your have your MP3 file, you can burn it to a cd using just about any burning software.

The best way to convert a cassette to a CD is to get a cassette player that plugs into the computer with a USB port and put your music on the computer and then burn a CD from your computer.
