You actually can't connect two computers using a usb data card. You would have to use a cat5 crossover cable which would allow you to connect the computers through the ethernet.

USB data cards are not the way to do this. To connect two computers directly to each other (for example, to transfer files or share an internet connection) you would need a Cat5 Crossover Cable (~$15-20.00, available at electronic stores.) This cable will allow you to connect them directly via Ethernet, which is several times faster than USB data transfer.

You can only attatch devices to your computer using a cable; computer to computer is not possible. However, you can buy a crosswire ethernet cable and connect the two computers that way. Also, you could buy a router and connect up to four computers on the same network.

Plug the card into one computer, it should automatically install the drivers. When that's done go to your network connections and you should see the other computer on your network

Use a 'Briged' USB cable and plug it into each computer. The software that is included with the cable normally allows you to choose either a 'Link Mode' or 'Network Mode'. If you just want to transfer files, then the 'Link Mode' would be the best bet. Choose 'Network Mode' if you want to setup a network.

The USB data card cable with two USB plugs is like a USB drive for each computer. The drive can not be accessed at the same time from both computers.

There are two possiblilities to do that. The first possibility is to use a data link cable. In this case you have something like a usb disk with two cables on different pcs. The second is a usb network cable withthat you have a real internet connection.
