Almost all state and regional laws require that gas hook ups to appliances be done by a licensed professional plumber with certifications in installation of gas appliances due to safety concerns because of potential explosive hazards or possible poisonous gas leaks. You would be better served hiring a certified professional.

Whoah! If you are not already familiar with gas pipe fittings, you should not attempt this job. This should be done by a professional who can select the right size line and the correct fitting, and get it secure enough to not leak. A plumber will also test for leaks.

the dryer connects to gas supply through flexible metal hose different fittings on each end that fit both the gas dryer and the end of the fixed gas supply pipe.
