How do you color-coordinate a kitchen?

Pick two colors you want to go with like in any room. Consider the colors going with the floor, cabinets and appliances. Paint walls with one color while you decorate with accessories, base boards, pictures, etc., with another color. Accessories are towels, wall decor, counter appliances, etc. Look in magazines and books at library's and bookstores to get idea's.

Pick a color theme. Warm colors or cool. After you pick out the colors, match the countertops, appliances and floor. Then start picking out extras, dishes, wall hangings, towels, plants chair and table. Add punches of a brighter color to draw your eyes around the room. Don't have a rubbish can in full view, that all people would see.

use white colors in the kitchen, avoid red, black and blue. they do not reflect light in the house, instead they increase darkness

You should get matching appliances. If you choose to go with colored small appliances that sit on the counter make sure they match as well.
