How do you clean hockey equipment?

I don't know about soap, but you can take it to the skate shop and have them put it in a special machine that cleans/deodorizes it. Our local hockey/skate supply has one. You can try there or even some ice rinks may have them. it's the latest thing i hear.

i would think that it would be washed similarly to football (american) equipment. just take all of the hard plastic parts off and wash with regular soap and towel and the put all cloth parts into the washing machine and wash it on super heavy duty maybe even twice and then hang dry
