Caterpillars are amazing to watch and don't stick around for long; they soon transform themselves into something else! Provide them with a home containing these items-small container for water to put leaf tips into keep fresh(put wadded paper towels around leaf so caterpillar doesn't drown), some soil/sand on container floor, a stick to "pupate" on.

Find out what type of plant it eats and ensure there is an ample amount of food available for it to eat.
