If you rose bush is black in color and still alive your bush has a fungal disease. It is very common but very hard to get rid of. You will need to prune the infected area and buy a fungal spray. You will need to prune and spray every week.
Water the bushes daily, fertilize once in the summer and apply organic mulch at the base in the fall. Also, prune any dead branches using small pruning shears.
