The idea behind a professional gamer is that you get to do what u love doing and don't really consider being a job but the salary for this isn't going to be the best out there. You can start by going to tournaments to get your name out and they sometimes invite people into companies.

It is not really difficult to get started as a professional gamer, but it is incredibly difficult to make a living off of it. Look for Major League Gaming (MLG) or other tournaments in your city. You will usually have to pay an entrance fee, but if you're good enough, it may pay off.

It is very difficult to become a professional gamer - very few people are able to earn enough to make it a full time career. But, if you want to try, then start by playing online and building relationships with other professional gamers. As you build relationships, you will get more opportunities to compete at professional gaming events.
