Simple: you must back up the outlook.pst file, you will find it in your windows user profile (default location). To find precisely where it is located, go inside the control panel, double-click on the mail icon. The pst file will contain all outlook data, except account parameters.

To backup email, calendar and contacts in Outlook 2003, just go to file --> Import/export and export the data to a PST file. Name the file backup_mmddyyyy and keep it in a safe place. You can then import from the file if you need to.

On the 'File' menu item, select 'Archive'. You can choose to archive everything, or individual folders. After that you will be asked how much to archive (from what date to what date). After that, choose where to have the archived file written to. If you want it backed up to a different location, you can burn it to a CD.
