Question by  Cats (28)

How do you apply eye shadow?

I've heard a LOT of conflicting methods.

For deeply-set eyelids, use light shades on lids and creases to avoid a "hollow" look to eyes. For eyelids not deeply set, use darker eyeshadow on eyelids to create an illusion of a "fuller" eyelid. In both instances, though, the shadow closest to the browline should be lightest shade used.

It is best to apply eye shadow with a soft brush. Use the lightest shade (or a very light application) right under the brow bone, and cover the entire eyelid. Use a darker shade (or darker application of one color) in the crease of the eye, the outer corner, and as an eyeliner.
