What are the best eye shadow colors for brown eyes?

I have brown eyes and when i wear any other shade of eye shadow, other than purple, I don't get near as many compliments on my eyes as when I wear shades of purple. Try using three slightly different shades of purple on your eyes and watch out, here come the compliments from men and woman alike.

I personally have brown eyes. I find that warm tones like browns, coppers,golds,white as the base of course. Black or dark brown eyeliner to top it off. Perfection.

I have brown eyes and tend to stick with colors such as blue or purple. The smokey eye look is nice as well. The colors preference for one person might not be the same as the next person because it depends on your skin tone as well.

I find that light green, purple, tan and brown are very nice colors to use for brown eyes. You can wear blue but it does not look that great matched with brown eyes.
