Projectors run a strip of film from a main reel through a smaller reel. They pass through a lenses as an audio sensor reads a magnetic strip on the side which houses the sound. The light projets the enlarged imagine from the film strip onto a screen.

Well they basically work by putting a movie cip near the projector and then it projects onto the screen and then you get to see it on the full screen.
