the ceiling fan will have a set of wiring inside the fan housing. Simply pull these wires up through he shaft and into the ceiling. Once the wires are there you connect them using any National Electric Code method to a grounded outlet plug and plug it in.

Buy a cord cap from your local hardware store. It will have screw colors corresponding to your wires. Match the wire colors to the colors on the screws.
