Open the document in Microsoft Word and then Save it in a Word 6.0 (.RTF) format. Then reopen the new RTF file and Word should display the images.

Is this a file that you created or a file that someone else created. If it's the first option then I don't know what your problem is, does it happen with other files of the same ilk? If it's the second file, then odds are that it's the wrong program to open in, you need a Word Viewer.

Use the online help program built into MS Word. This problem happens when Word doesn't recognize the image format. Another approach is to save it to a different format.

As for that error I honestly don't know. But I do know that you can just copy and paste a picture intoMS word, or drag and drop one.

This error is most likely occuring because the user does not have the true version of Microsoft Word installed on their computer and instead as the program Microsoft WordPerfect. In order to remedy this the user should go to Microsoft's site and download Word Viewer.

You may need to download the graphic conversion filter and install it so it will run with your program. Go to the Microsoft word home page for detailed advice on where to obtain the filter and how to install and run it.
