Bathe an itchy dog with an oatmeal shampoo. Treat moist,itchy hot spots with a quick drying agent such as an anti-fungal powder used to treat athlete's foot. Be sure to check for fleas and treat the dog and environment to eliminate them.

There are shampoos that you can purchase that can calm itchy spots on dogs but if those don't work i would suggest talking to a vet because it can be a number of things.
