How do you stop dog urine spots on the lawn?

My neighbors dog uses my yard as a bathroom and it is killing my grass.

Urine contains ammonia, which kills grass and other plants, and there's not much you can do about that other than wait for it to wash out and the grass to grow back. Your best bet is asking your neighbor to keep his dog fenced it.

Talk to your neighbor and tell him that you don't want his dog to pee on your grass. Put up a fence if needed. Not much will make it grow.

Put up notice that dog unrine is bad for your grass, or place a pot or some other object/ plant if it is only a specific spot that the dog likes to use.

When/if you see the dog urinating in your grass, you can pour water over the spot to water-down the chemicals in the urine. There is also fertilizer you can use.
