Link your hands together and hold them in front of your face with straight arms. Next, link your hands together behind your body and, with straight arms, try to raise them as high as possible. Also, do the cat and cow movements from yoga.

It is moderately difficult to stretch your upper back without the right equipment, this is why it is often a tense area. Having someone rub your muscles out is an effective alternative.

The best way to strech your upper back is to use light weights. Bend over and put approximately a twenty pound weight in each hand, and the pressure should help strech your back. By moving the arms outward different parts of the back can be stretched.

You can stretch your upper back by sitting straight. Don't bend and sit. Always sit with strength and not in a weak mood. The weak mood itself makes a person sit bend.
