From personal experience I have learned that the best way to usurp aggression is training an a lot of patience. I do believe certain breeds tend to be more aggression but training them allows the owner to control their 'outbursts' to a degree. Obedience is the key factor to a dog's behavorial issues

Basenjis are bombastically energetic. Regular exercise will keep them from becoming bored, and socialization training when young is mandatory to keep this stubborn breed well adapted.

Aggression in any dog is a function of fear and confusion over who is in charge. Enroll in a top notch obedience program, not treat-training or click-training.

He probably feels threatened. If he is bad put him in his kennel. Take him to the park around a lot of people and dogs. This should calm him overtime.

Keeping them occupied with training and plenty of exercies will help. Make sure that you have them spayed unless you want to breed from them.

You can stop Basenji aggression with a pepper spray or a tazer. If it's not working really well you can call the 9-1-1 but quickly! Sometimes you could need help from a neigbor or a friend, in that case your safe!
