How do I replace a tub?

It will require some muscle and afew helpers. To replace a bath tub, you must remove your current tub.You'll have to remove any caulking holding the tub in place. You may have to open some walls in order to have space to remove the tub out of the bathroom.

You buy a new one, then phone a service that does the job for you. Google for a good service.

You can easily replace a tub by buying a cover that goes over it (if you don't care that your tub will still be at the same location). There are fiberglass covers that go over your tub that can give it a new look without really buying a new tub. Kind of like a sofa cover!

Get access to the plumbing first, and turn off the supply. Disconnect the drain pipe to the tub, Now detatch old tub and install new and turn supply on.
