Start by turning off the power to the pump. From there, you can close the water inlet valve and then remove the pump from the housing. Pour water through a funnel into both openings and reopen the water inlet valve. Look for any air bubbles. Add water until it is full and then return parts to the right places.

The objective is to get the air out of the system. There should be a check or a foot valve on the pump suction pipe. There should also be a plug on the top of the pump, or some other way to pour water in. Open the plug, fill the pump, replace the plug, and turn on the pump.

supply water to the pump, if there is no water it will not drag it to the pump. so supply water to the pump to create the hydraulic action.

Pour a cup of water into the opening at the top of the pump and work the handle until water flows. If there's no flow, add more water. You may have to prime the pump three or more times. Once you have a flow, pump about a gallon of water and discard it before using any.

It depends on what type of a pump you have. Is it a one or two line pump or a submersible? Most submersible pumps are self priming. The other types of pumps will require you to hook a hose up to another water source and attach it to your well.

see whether the top of the closed properly. check whether cylinder draws water. then see whether the cylinder handle moved. then check whether the diaphragm works with the cylinder to create the suction.
