One of the best ways to prevent dirt daubers is to eliminate their food supply which are insects, bugs and spiders. Prompt removal of nests (at night) discourage daubers.

Unfortunately, it's very difficult. You have to make sure that all the dirt in your house has been thoroughly examined by a certified dirt inspector. Even then, there is no guarantee that the daubers will go away. I had a house back in the 70s with dirt daubers and we had to abandon it.

Broadcast spray Cypermethrin at the top of your house and work your way down. Treat the exterior of your home with Demon or Cynoff brand insecticides during summer months.

You can use a hose to destroy the nest in order to get wasps to leave. Spray remains with insecticide to prevent reinfestation or other bugs looking for food.
