The first thing you have to is restart your computer. When it starts to boot up Windows, keep pressing F8 while you hold down the Control key. Also, make sure your monitor is not on while doing this. It should bring up the bypass.

It is possible to bypass your windows 98 password by downloading a copy of the Ultimate Boot CD, and using the included tools to edit your registry.

Try to find someone with the same access and a different password. If that fails you could try to restore to a previous state or do a clean install.

The boot password is not due to Windows 98. Its from the BIOS of the computer system. In general, it is not possible to bypass this (except changing the hardware)
