Cut the stems of the flowers with sharp scissors or pruning shears. Mist them with water, and place them in a bundle. Tie the flowers with string.

Plan on either keeping the ranunculus in vases until right before using, or carrying them in something with water. Ranunculus wilt easily and need lots (and lots) of water. Also make sure to store your bouquets upright, if stored horizontally they can start to droop. Cut stems on a diagonal and keep out of drafty locations before use.

Make your bouquet about a day ahead with dry blooms picked before the bloom is completely opened. Just before constructing, trim the ends of the stems. Arrange in saturated foam.

When I make a bouquet with ranunculus, I like to get between eight and ten of the flowers and place them in a decorative bowl.

If you are wanting to make this type of bouquet then you will need to make sure you keep this in warm weather. If you keep it in cold weather then the plant may be damaged.
