Heavy bleeding and pain are common signs, but only a doctor can tell you for sure. Get a check up quick if you are really worried.

Depending on how far into pregnancy you are, miscarriage can include heavy bleeding and cramping (which may become rhythmic, like contractions), and passing the products of conception. If you're unsure, a doctor can do an ultrasound to be sure the uterus is emptied.

Early miscarriages are easy to miss, however if you are far along in the pregnancy, you will experience cramping and bleeding.

you will have cramping, heavy bleeding with blood clots, depending on how far along you are in the pregnancy. In the early stages it may feel like your normal period the further along you are the harder the cramping and bleeding

The most common and obvious symptom is vaginal bleeding. This does not mean you had a miscarriage, but any amount of bright red blood during pregnancy is not okay.
