If the egg is brown, and you can see the border line of the fetus inside the egg by holding it up to light you can be assured it is indeed a fertile egg.

Chickens will lay eggs regardless of if they are fertilized or not. If the females are in contact with a rooster then there is a chance they will hatch.

The main thing to remember is that they must be fertilized by a rooster in order to hatch into a chicken. Incubation time is approximately 21 days if you're not sure if your eggs have been fertilized.

You can typically shine a light through the egg at night and see the chickens developement. they will often move when exposed to heat or cold. if the chicken has been exposed to any harsh conditions, vibrations or the egg is discolored or soft the chicken typically will not hatch. incubators can cook them alive!!

You won't know if they will hatch but you will know if there is something inside growing by placing an egg in the light. The shell becomes see-through.

You need to let the mother hen sit on them for a few weeks. Usually 2 to 2 1/2 weeks long. IF after that set of time, she'll let you, you need to pick up the egg, holding it to the light, you should see a baby chicken.

Let the hen sit on the eggs for 2-3 weeks. Then take an egg from the nest and hold it in front of a bright light. You should be able to see the chicken inside.

There's not a surefire way to tell, but after a few weeks, you should be able to hold the egg up to a light and see inside. At later stages, you can see a baby chick inside.

You can't really tell. After the chicken sat on the eggs for like 2-3 weeks. Take egg from nest hold it up to a bright light, you should be able to see inside the egg with a baby chick inside. If chicken doesn't sit on certain eggs it is possible it may not hatch.

After the chicken has sat on it for two weeks or so, hold it up to a light, and you should be able to see a growing chick in it if one is going to hatch.

If the chicken that has the eggs sits on them normally they should be fine. If the chicken does not sit on certain eggs then that certain egg may not hatch.
