Question by  Oz (67)

Can you tell me how to hatch a chicken egg?

Answer by  missein10 (44)

If the egg is actually fertilized, it must be kept at a constant warm temperature. You must either have a hen sit on the eggs, or buy an incubator.

Well, you will need an incubator. You will need to keep this incubator between 99 to 101 degrees F, Humidity at 60-65, and turn the eggs three times daily.

so long as the egg hasnt lost body temperature a sun-lamp will help keep the egg warm, but dont put it too close otherwise it will be cooked

You will need a special egg incubator to hatch the egg. Chickens very seldom sit and hatch an egg they didn't lay.

You will need to get an egg that has been fertilized by a rooster (you cannot take one out of the carton in the fridge) and has not been cooled at any time. Place the egg is a false next of rags under a heated lamp. Keep it warm and it will hatch.
