Depends on the type and brand of Lightning ceiling canopy you'd like. The general idea is that you use either bricks or oak wood. If you're considering a sky light all you need to do is to cut a symmetrical shaped square in the type of your sheet rock. You'll need a sheet rock cutter.

Installing a lighting ceiling canopy is a difficult task and unless you have prior experience in lighting I would recommend asking someone you know who does. If you don't know anyone with any such experience I would find a local business in your area that will help you to do it.

Switch off power supply and open some holes in ceiling surface with drill machine to fix canopy. Next remove insulated wire along half inch. Arrange wire edges into the canopy ports. Establish connection between canopy and power supply. Then switch on the main power supply. If you're a novice find a local business to help you to do this.

Remove the cover at the front of the bulb holder and then you place your canopy and return the cover by screwing it clockwise until it is tightly held in position. All this time put off the power supply to avoid electrick shock while making the connections in the holder.
