How do I install a fuel filter on my Ford Windstar?

Remove the retaining strap bolts. Loosen the rearmost clamp in the fuel line. Remove the clamp from the fuel filter. Now remove the old fuel filter by moving the rubber hoses front and back. Finally install the new filter with the arrow pointing towards the engine. It could either have an inline filter or an in-tank filter

Most ford fuel lines have simple clips that you squeeze either end then slide the fuel line out. Just remove both lines than the new filter will just snap in.

First acquire the quick release tool from an auto supply store. Open gas cap, apply tool to each end of fuel filter and release filter from the line.

first) unhook the battery.Now that you have the battery unhooked take the bolts off of the fuel tank So, that the tank comes down freely and you can see the top of the fuel tank .there will be a locking ringthat needs to come off.

Once you drop the gas tank, you will have access to the fuel filter. Remove the faulty fuel filter (just a few bolts) to replace the faulty one.

It could either have an inline filter or an in-tank filter. You can look online or contact a dealer to find out which you have. Inline just require you to unhook the lines and install the new filter. Otherwise you drop the tank.
