How do I incorporate ground cover into my garden layout?

You will need to choose between plants that can take some foot traffic and others that really don't like to be walked on. Use step stones if needed.

First you pick out the major big plants that you want as centerpiece of your garden layout. These are the attractive plants that you want to capture the attention, bushes, ferns, hostas,etc. Then pick out the small ground covering plants and flowering plants that you really like. You can pick out pretty flowering plants that cling, ,,,snowblossems, moss.
