To adjust the governor on a Briggs and Stratton engine loosen nut on the governor arm and push the arm down clockwise. Then you would turn the governor shaft clockwise.
If the engine is less than 2 years old you shouldn't change the throttle due to the fact that it will void the warranty. If over 2 years there should be a small screw that you turn on side of carb.
