To call california you must have the phone number you wish to call. If you are dialing from a home phone you must dial 1 then the area code and the phone number. If you are calling with a cell phone you can still dial the 1 or you do not have to use the 1.

the best way i think for you to call california. is if you live in new york city you should buy a calling card for out the state they should sell it in the grocery stores . on the back of the card there are numbers you can call and there is also a pin
