You certainly need to take a look at yourself. You really need to sit down and decide if you really want to be married to your husband anymore or not. Cheating is a horrible thing to do to someone. Your husband may never want to speak to you again or even forgive you.

The guilt is completely reasonable. One of the first steps is to get counseling in private as to why you cheated and resolve those reasons. Otherwise, you may cheat again. Once headed in the right direction, you are obligated to be honest with him about your cheating, but you can honestly say you are working on it.

You need to accept that you made a mistake, and honestly try to fix it as best you can. This mainly means dealing with your own issues; after all, something led you to cheat. If you don't address whatever this is, it can and probably will happen again. Therapy may help you to address this.

The only way in my opinion is to go to counselling. You have to forgive him for this act, because that is the only way the relationship will work.

Unfortunately you don't. You might forgive, but women never forget anything. He will pay until the day he dies. Ask yourself is he really worth it.
