Usually the gas tank will have a pet cock under it that will have a setting for priming a empty carburetor. Start by shutting the petcock off. Then unhook the line from the carburetors and put it into a catch can. Fill the tank with fresh high octane gas. Then turn the petcock to prime and run until clean.

Disconnect it from the carb, then put that end into a bucket. Then turn the petcock on. That will drain all the fuel. Run fresh gas through

Simply flushing a line will consist of plugging the tank where the line is attached, and removing the other end. Running a cleaning solution through the line is fine, though be certain to allow it to dry before installation, as any remaining cleaner can contaminate the fuel causing further issues.

Drain all the fuel out of the fuel tank, lines and carb. You can do this easily if it is carburated by opening the drain on the carb and turing the petcock to on and letting the fuel run out. Then leave it open and pour fresh fuel through it until you see clean gas.
