How do I fix a no crank ignition problem?

I have a Volvo 740.

The problem is either one of two things the battery or the starter most likely. You will want to check the battery and if good then test to see if starter getting power.

You are going to need to make sure your timing belt or chain has not broke on you. If it did you are not going to have any crank and you are going to need to fix this first.

No cranking simply signify a few problems like a weak battery , loose battery terminals , loose connections to the dynamo charger or a blown fuse for ignition.

check battery first if thats ok then check the starter fuse and relay if those are all ok then get your test light and make shure you starter is getting power when the key is on if u have power and the starter doesnt do anything then replace the starter

It could be like this because of many reason. It is most likely that there is a problem with the starter. If you have checked it and there is no problem with it, then check the battery. Is it passing the power without and hitches. If the problem is other than this, take it to the workshop.

Well the first thing to do is diagnose the problem. Runs checks on all the components to ensure everything is functions and all connections are tight.
