Adobe illustrator provides various colour modes for multimedia purposes. It has an option of creating or converting your creation in pantone colours just like we choose rgb and cmyk modes.

To pull up a Pantone color library in Illustrator, go to the "Window" menu item, then Swatch Libraries > Color Books and choose the Pantone library you want.

Most versions of Illustrator have a Pantone color swatch. Simply switch to that particular swatch and the colors should be available.

Pantone colors can be found in Pantone color library. If it is not available, it can be downloaded from pantone. com. Avoid using PC colors as spot colors. Instead use pantone solids. PC colors are used when printing CMYK documents.

If you are using CS2 or later version go to windows>Swatch libraries and then choose the appropriate pantone library. This will open the entire pantone library in swatch window. From that library we can select the required pantone color.

Go to Window > Swatch Libraries > find the appropriate Pantone Library. Click the triangle in the upper righthand corner. It will open a flyout menu. From there, select "Show Find Field." This will place the search bar just above Pantone Swatches. Type any number you need and the correct swatch will highlight - click it.
