How do I check the fuel pump on an Escalade?

Take it to the car dealer. There are new online tools available that can do a diagnostic check for checking the pressure and fuel capability. Or you can use a pressure guage to check the fuel.

Put your head near the rear of the vehicle and have an assistant turn the key on.If you hear a hum noise near the tank, its working. If not, disconnect the fuel line at the injector rail, drop it in a soda bottle and turn the key. Look for fuel.

The best way to check the fuel pump on any car including the Cadillac Escalade would be to take the truck to the dealer. I mean since many new trucks including the Cadillac Esclade has a computer, you should have a diagnostic check done on the truck which will tell you what if anything is wrong with your truck.

You can check the pressure by putting a pressure gauge on the fuel rail and turning the pump on. To test flow rate though you need to capture and measure fuel over a set time. This may not be something easily preformed at home and is dangerous.

Turn the key to to on position with out starting the vehicle . you should hear a whinning noise coming from the pump if you dont hear that then the pump is bad or no power is geeting to the pump. check and test electrical connections.

first open its bonnet. then you will see the whole engine is covered with an plastic cover then remove this cover by opening 2 screws then you will see the little fuel pump it might be silver colored now you have to remove the fuel pipe and check fuel is properly going on through. thats all..

There is no way to test the functioning of a fuel pump other than looking at it or listening to it. You can check the fuel pressure at the rail.
