To change the rear wiper, you remove the old wiper from the wiper arm. Wiper is usually attached to the arm with a clip-like arrangement. You then install new one.

There will be a clip holding the blade in place. Usually have to turn over the blade arm to remove and reinstall. Parts stores will normally replace the blade for you if you ask them. Watch them as they do to see the job done.

You can either buy a new wiper assembly or just switch out the rubber cartridge. To replace the assembly, push the small button on top and slide it off. To replace the rubber cartridge, unclip the metal clips and slide the old out and slide the new in.

This should be pretty simple. You can purchase a new wiper at a local auto parts store. Wipers are standard items so any auto parts store will carry them. The wiper will come with installation instructions. A lot of auto parts stores will replace the wiper for free if you purchase the wiper from them.

Wipers are pretty easy to change. I have never touched a Scion before but usually you just need to flip the wiper up so it is perpendicular to the car. Then the wiper usually has either a screw or clip that you just pop out.

First you have to go to an auto parts store and buy a new wiper. Pop the old wiper out and put in the new one. Make sure the whole length of the wiper touches the rear windshield.
