To change the parental control code on the remote, you need to hit menu and go through the options until you find parental controls. Then just key in the default pin which is 9999 or 1234 in most cases. You should then be prompted to change the pin.

If you have the instruction guide that came with your remote then that could be helpful but if not then you can go online and look for a manual.

You need to be able to open the controls in the menu and then insert that password that you set.
