How do I change a water pump on a Suzuki?

A manual will assist you with this operation.Remove water pump belt.water pump pulley.Drain the coolant via lower radiator hose or petcock on radiator.Then unbolt water pump,reverse procedure for installation.

You will have to remove the timing cover and the belt. Then remove the bolts which hold the water pump and you can take out the water pump just like that.

Remove the timing cover and timing belt. because on most suzuki's the water pump is driven off of the timing belt. once the timing belt is off remove the bolts holding on the water pump and remove the pump from the vehicle. to finish just reverse the order. Hope that helps.

You will need to remove the drive belt and all of the other belt driven parts that are in the way of the water pump coming out. Then, just unbolt the old pump and remove it. Use a new gasket and bolt the new pump on. Installation is the reverse of removal.

On older samuria's it is fairly simple. Remove belt and remove 3 screws. Newer models can be more complex as water pump is built deeper into engine
