The ducklings need food, water, and protection from predators. They enjoy a wading pool with a ramp. Don't try to tame them; they need to be wary of humans.

You should use duck feed and chopped lettuce and spinach for food. When you feed the ducklings, its important that you must mash the food or use warm water to soften the pellets. Ducks love duckweed, it can be found skimmed off the surface of water in a pond. Give them fresh water and a heat lamp for warmth.

Because wildlife has special needs, any orphaned animals should be turned over to a licensed rehabber. In the case of most wildlife, it is ILLEGAL to keep an animal without the proper permits, resulting in large fines if convicted. Until you can contact a rehabber, keep the animal safe and warm in a cardboard box with a towel.

It is extremely difficult to care for baby birds. They need their mother or father to partially digest their food and slurp it down their throats. You could try grinding up worms but I don't think they'll be able to digest them.
