Electricians work with electricity. This requires hands on training so that you are safe. Contact a local trade school or the electrician's union for training.

I know Kaplen Career Institute has the elctrician apprentice program but I am not sure if they do it online. The best thing to do is to take a look at it because most schools like that are going to be a lot of hands on.

The best school I would have to say is University of Phoenix and Penn Foster. The courses you will take to be an electrician would be math and science. Make sure to become liscenced!

You need to be a graduate from high school. I would not recommend online schools for this type of job. You need the hands on training and you won't get this online. You need to take course geared for electrician and sometimes this also includes heating and air conditioning. I would advise to take it all. Join a electrician union.
