Your best bet is to join the Peace Corp. It won't be easy, but I have heard its very fulfilling work. You have to apply to serve, and where you go is dependent on your skills and the needs of the country. If you get accepted, you must make a commitment of 27 months. Good luck!

There are various international relief agencies that are looking for volunteers all the time, and you can visit the websites to apply. Among the agencies you can work with include the Red Cross, Peace Corps, Amnesty International, UNICEF and Salvation Army.

You can volunteer through Peace Corps, Doctors Without Borders, or any religious mission group. Hospital ships, the World Wildlife Fund and many other international charities are also seeking volunteers. They can train you and transport you to the work site.

You would need to find an organization that promotes charity work such as the Red Cross. Hospitals are good establishments for volunteer work as well
