How do hidden files and folders get hidden?

Under an object's 'Properties' window, in the 'General' tab, there is a checkbox next to the 'Hidden' property; enabling this property hides the object.

select the file or folder,and then Right click and select properties,and then click box Hidden and then apply. to look hidden file, we must go to folder options ,and then select view ,and then select show hidden file and folders, and then apply. when you finish, open the file that you hide
