Files having. rar extensions are typically archived or compressed files. There is no need to convert these files if you have the right software application, like WinRAR(tm), to read and extract files from them. If, however, these were improperly named files (with the wrong extension) then just take a look at the header and rename accordingly.

You need to use a tool (such as 7-Zip or WinRaR) to extract media or content from the. rar file before it can be played.

Rar files cannot be "converted" to anything. They are simply compressed files, like ". zip" files. You can download the program UnRar and use that to decompress the. rar file
