How do estrogen levels relate to miscarriage?

Answer by  LeheckaG (1826)

Estrogens (estradiol, estraone, & estriol) are produced by: the female-ovaries, placenta (if/when pregnant), & male-testes. Estrogens impact/regulate menstrual-cycles & pregnancy. Miscarriages can be caused by too-high or too-low estrogen-levels.

Estrogen and Progesterone are hormones used in birth control pills in order to suppress pregnancy, it could definitely be possible that estrogen could induce miscarriages, or add to the likelihood of a woman having one.
