Normal HcG levels for a non-pregnant female are generally less than 5. 0 mlU/ml. After a miscarriage your levels should go back down to that. HcG levels during pregnancy vary greatly from person to person and pregnancy to pregnancy. It can take up to a few months for your levels to go back down to normal.

How much, and how long it takes, for HCG levels to drop after a miscarriage depends on how far along you were in your pregnancy. The further along you were, the longer it will take to drop, as you will have far higher levels. Your doctor can perform a blood or urine test to confirm your levels.

HCG levels drop considerably after a miscarriage. There is no set answer though as it depends on the person. HCG levels should never drop during a pregnancy.
