Yes the shot could be the cause of the miscarriage, and it could also just be because you had the imbalance of the rhogam.

Without doing a autopsy on the remains of the baby there is no way to be for certain what caused the miscarriage. There are many causes of miscarriage, you should consult with your doctor regarding the shots and what you were doing right prior to the miscarriage. Miscarriages are difficult to understand at times.

If you need the shot don't hesitate. I need the shots but became immune to it. I have developed several antibodies which it's hard to find matching blood. I need inutero transfusions. The babies rate of survival is 1:8. I'm sure it doesn't cause misscarriages. I can't have anymore children.

Rhogam shots will not cause a miscarriage. It merely protects you if your baby has a positive blood type and you a negative one. All mothers with RH negative blood will receive these shots prior to having a baby and after if the baby's blood type is positive. I am sorry for your loss. But, don't hesitate to receive rhogam.

A miscarriage is caused when either a genetic condition or physical problem causes the death of the embryo. Rhogam is designed to protect the mother who is Rh negative from forming antibodies in her blood to the blood of an embryo who is Rh-positive. This medication does not cause miscarriage.

I had a miscarriage as well within 48 hrs of receiving the rhogam shot. I also delivered my last baby at 28 weeks and I went into labor with that pregnancy 48 hrs after rhogam as well. I would love to hear from others that have had this happen!
